Bathroom outside

Bathroom outside

One door two different sides.

The outside of this bathroom door is two solid slab boards of curly English walnut bookmatched together with a horizontal rail at the bottom producing an open void in the center.  The center void is filled with a solid board of curly quartersawn sycamore.

The inside of this door is a solid wood frame of Spessart white oak rift cut.  Within the frame is the same piece of curly quartersawn sycamore as seen from the outside. The sycamore panel is not completely housed in a frame so air can escape from room to room.

Both outside slabs and inside frame are attached together on sliding dovetails.
